I know the 1500 and the 1600 are very much the same engine...
I'm looking for options to repair a 1500 where the cam chain tensioner blew apart.
(2007 Vulcan classic fi)
Does the 1600 share the same stroke? (In which case I can slip off the old cylinders.. Swap out pistons and throw on the cylinders...)
Or is the stroke different? (Then the above wouldn't work)
Can I do the same thing with the 1700?
Failing those options, can I adapt the 1700 and it's 6 speed transmission to shaft drive?
(And just make new motor mounts?)
What are my options fellow gurus??
Thanks!
