re

couple of ways'

some folks use a hair dryer and soften them up and peel them off

i prefer a little tool made by 3m. its a drill attachment that has a stack
of soft disc material that you use the edge of and run right down the stripe
and it remove thes decal without damaging the clear or painted surface
(3m stripe removal tool) found at most auto paint supply stores and some
better auto parts stores.it works great and its fast

just make sure your decals don't have a clear cote over them

I just removed one last week.

I let it sit in the sun for 30 seconds.

Depending on your location a hair dryer may help. :)

Then I used my 2003 AMA Membership Card (knew it was good for something  ) and got the corner of the decal lifted a little and then gently peeled it away. Then a little glue gone with a clean soft cloth, then wax and never know it was there. Take that Suzuki.

Would the 3m stripe removal tool work to remove the big (almost gaudy looking) Vulcan Classic emblems from the tank :? :?

re

it'll remove any decal/stripe as long as there's no clear over it
the big emblems need to be heated with a blow drier and then slip a piece
of strong dental floss or small fishing line behind the emblem and kind of saw thru the glue and they'll peel right off
