It would be an honor to have that little piece of Deron's memory grace our home during a future Christmas season. Great way to honor and remember a great guy!

it's on TV every year around Christmas. ;)
It's my favorite Christmas movie by a long shot. We have it on DVD and make a habit of watching it every Christmas Eve.

Just watched video clip and I can honestly say that Deron would have posted.......ROFLMAO!!!

Not to disappoint anyone, but Deron did actually have a Christmas tree last year. (With a little twist of the arm from me, hehehe) We decided it would be great for Daniel and Jilly, as he had them for about 10 days at Christmas last year. He told me in October he wasn't putting the tree up this year since he wouldn't have the kids, but was going to put "the lamp" up.

Let not our hearts be heavy this holiday season, but be thankful for the moments we shared with Deron....be it on the forum or in person. He wouldn't want us to continue to be sad, but to celebrate the part of his life that we shared with him.

Continuing to miss him, love him, and celebrate all that he was.........his girl always and forever.

I'll try to remember these wise words. It's very difficult, though, isn't it, not to mourn but to keep the happy memories in mind. I'm doing my best, and thankfully I had a very happy few days with Deron just a couple of months ago. Those are really wonderful memories.

I'll be thinking about you and the kids and Deron's parents and brother this Christmas.

i'm kinda running out of things to say, just don't have the words. never been good at putting my thoughts to words anyways, and i think i have exhausted all of the normal things to say. i have lost a few people i my life, some close, some not. i must say though, that i have never lost a friend as close as Deron was to me. honestly, i am still kinda in shock about it. being at the funeral helped though, i think it helped me get closer to closure.

This is a Christmas poem that was given to me the year my Grandma passed away. It is very fitting this year with the loss of Deron and RoDonna.

Merry Christmas From Heaven

I still hear the songs, I still see the lights
I still feel the love, on cold wintry nights

I still share your hopes, and all of your cares
I'll even remind you, to please say your prayers

I just want to tell you, you still make me proud
You stand head and shoulders, above all the crowd

Keep trying each moment, to stay in His grace
I came here before you, to help set your place

You don't have to be perfect all of the time
He forgives you the slip, if you continue the climb

To my family and friends, please be thankful today
I'm still close beside you, in a new special way

I love you all dearly, now don't shed a tear
Cause I'm spending my Christmas with Jesus this year

Oh no....
I had no idea Deron's Mom had passed also. Following his daily writings about her treatments on the Caringbridge website is how I had the pleasure of knowing them both a little better.
My prayers go out to all the Harden family in their time of grief.
