found a dirt bike in a shed, is a 125 cc kawasaki, no lights etc, strictly dirt, i,m guessing from the 70,s. took the serial # k1-503097 to local kaw dealer they no could tell me what it is. would like to restore it as it looks to be mostly all there. is there a kawa archives etc that could tell me what this thing is, such as kd kex, kes, etc. dont know what it is to star looking for parts etc. any ideas anyone on finding that info? sure would like to get er up and runnin. thanks!

I like these "what is it" posts. The recognition manual is pretty good, but is lacking info on the really old bikes.
I think it's too bad that most Kawasaki dealers today can't figure out anything older than 1980/81 considered that the rec manual is available and even has it's own Kawasaki part number.
I have a few sources on info, but the ones I use the most is the recognition manual and the KIC program (Kawasaki Information Centre). I wouldn't be surprised if half of my 600 posts on this forum is answers from the rec manual to "what is it" questions. Just keep them coming. I really enjoy it. Cheers !
