Probably obvious for most people, but after installing new headgasket on my '82 GPz750 and running it for a short while (maybe 15min?), should I pull the cam-cover and retension the head?

[ I just wanted to run it up to ensure it's OK, circulate the oil then change the oil and filter ]

You may not have to take off the cam cover. I didn't with my KZ1100, makes it easy. I did have to take off the gas tank, however.

Choco is right, no need to take cover off, i'd forgotten how the old air-cooled heads are

No need to re-torque the two bolts in the camchain-tunnel
