I'm sure this is in the search area but I wanted to ask fresh. I'm going to get rid of my hoop brackets and buy either ghost or easy brackets this week. Anybody have experience with both and recommend one over the other? Hopefully you know I'm talking about saddlebag brackets, right? thanks, mike

I had Ghost brackets on my 1500 FI. They were first generation versions. I really had no problems with them. Made it much easier to remove the bags.They also had locks on them.They were on the bike for almost 7 years. I thought about upgrading to the newer ones, but I sold the bike and bought an 07 Nomad.:mrgreen:

I've got Ghost Brackets (my wife and I both do) and they are great. Had them for 3 years now, and they work flawlessly.

I give Ghostbrackets good marks as well. Don't know anything about EasyBrackets though.

I don't have experience with both, just the EasyBrackets. They're easy to install and work as promised. I went back and forth on which to get...the reason I went with EasyBrackets is basically because they _seemed_ more popular...they got more hits with the search engines. *shrugs*

Value-Accessories has a great price on ghostbrackets. I bought mine there for my mean streak and they work great. Very easy to install and the bag removal is easy. Don't know much about easybrackets but I believe they did not make those for my bike so therefore went with the ghostbrackets. Good luck!
