I've got a 1996 EX500D3 in pieces, but its coming together. One of the things holding me up currently is wiring. Most of its good, but there are a couple places I'm not too sure about.

The first one is the coil wires. Each coil has a blue terminal and a black terminal. A red wire goes to each one, and a black wire goes to the left, and a green to the right. I need to know how it all connects. My first guess is that the red wires connect to the blue terminals, and the black/green wires go to the black terminals. If anyone has there bike apart, or is willing to look, I'd really appreciate it.

Second is the starter. There is a stainless fitting and a (I think) brass fitting. I need to know which goes to the left and which goes to the right (looking forward on the bike)

If anyone could help me out, that would be awesome. I really need to get this bike on the road, I haven't ridden since August, and that was just one trip to Canada. Before that, the last time was the previous October.

Thanks

fixed

I figured out that starter first, it was the easiest one. Only one of the terminals is insulated from ground. Hmm, I think thats the live one :). Trace the wires back, negative goes to the left, positive to the right.

For the coils, I looked at the bike at the dealership when I went to get oil/filter/sparkplugs. Red goes to black terminal, black/green go to blue.
