Hi guys,

I have a 1990 EN500 and the tappets need adjusting. I started stripping down as per the Haynes manual and came across a problem that I have been unable to overcome so far.

I took the tank, side covers etc off the bike and drained the coolant. I eventually got the screws out that hold on the coolant pipes that disappear into the head beside the spark plugs but I cant get the pipes to pull out, no matter how hard I try.

I realise that when I do pull them eventually that the o rings will be screwed and need replacing but has anyone come across this problem before and if so what did they do as a workaround.

Unless I can get these pipes off I cant remove the rocker cover to et near the tappets.

Any idea's guys.

All help appreciated. I wont be able to answer for about a week as I'm working away but will be back on when I get home again.

Thanks in advance
