I own a 1997 Vulcan 1599D I have a small oil leak on the rear head it cost alot to repair has anybody taken an engine out and put another one in but only a different year I got in touch with a salvage yard in Texas and they have a 1998 with 13,000 miles for 1150.00 five speed rather than a four speed he said all it will be is a swap in the frame has anybody done this before .

Oil leak as in a gasket needs to be replaced or oil leak as in a cracked head/cylinder?
