Hey all, I am a service member serving in Germany and am considering buying a 95 1500 VN that I believe to be European specs. Now I'm aware that there are pretty substantial differences between European and US spec cars and the cost of conversion is pretty steep, anyone know what the differences are in bikes and roughly how much it is to convert?

european v us specs

its not feasible to convert your bike to us specs, there are not many technical differences only speedo and headlight mainly but the problems will occur when you try to import and register it in the usa, all non us spec bikes have to be officially converted by a registered importer who will charge over $2000 to do this! Either buy euro spec and sell it before you return or buy us spec in germany, have a look at www.montanamotorcycles.com
