EX500 Clip-Ons

Are the clip-ons everyone uses like these:

What kind do you have Freakinout? Any closer up pictures? I have seen the custom ones here, but I would rather just buy some...

I've got some generic ones. They do not look all that great and I had to modify them greatly. They also need to be about 1/2" longer to put bar ends on them (which I can't do atm).

I got mine off of ebay for like 30 bucks with a buy it now set of clip-ons. Good deal, although not nearly as high of quality as other clip-ons.

If you want really god ones, look for TOMASELLI clip ons. For me the most important is to have them 4 way adjustible.

Top one on first picture is available from size 35-54 and all direction adjustible. Also #3 and #4 an bottom picture can fit too. They cost around $150. You can find them maybe on ebay for less.

not to sound like a moron here ( but most of the time i do

) but are clip ons just a lowerd handle bars aposed to the raised ones on ex500, to give it more of a SS bike feel??

Yes they are, but they are adjustible too.

Are they 37mm? Not sure if that is what our forks are. Any one that will fit that size and not interfere with the fairings, tank or gauges should work.

Ok does anyone know Of maybe which bikes I can look for on ebay that will fit Or is their a different company that I can get some that are not 150.00 That I can get cheaper Or maybe I will have to make some.

Thank you. I have seen your pics in another post too. I was thinking of the people that did woodcraft and things that were simppy purchased. If I try to make a set, I will die. Somehow, someway, I will kill myself...

I don't have woodcraft clip-ons, wish I did though.

Here are the ones I have, they are a generic set for 37mm forks, so who knows who made these guys.

not to bring up an old thread.. im taking the handle bar set up on later ex500/500r is different then the first gen bikes 87-93?? cuz im not sure ho you would install clip ons on my bike ( 1990)?? like do they make clip ons for a specific bike or are they jsut generic in design and can fit any bike that has the right size forks??

They use different riser plates and bars on the older generation 500R. the fork is 36mm (I believe) on the old 500's, and is 37mm on the new ones.
