Here's the info about a fallen friend & past Patriot Guard rider who loved to ride his Harley. The local chapter of the Patriot Guard has been invited to participate in this event. While I really wanted to attend Deron's Service I must stay home and honor a fallen friend and co worker/fire fighter.

Todd Gilbert suddenly but peacefully died in his sleep at home on Thursday morning.

This has been an incredibly challenging time for both Todd’s immediate family and his AMR family.

Todd was an Operations Supervisor at Cheyenne AMR since October 1, 2007. He transferred here because it was his dream to live in Wyoming. He had traveled through Cheyenne when he was a kid and told himself he wanted to someday come back. Todd was with us a short time but made a huge impact while he was here. He was an AMR Paramedic for over twelve years and served as a volunteer firefighter in Mississippi for over fourteen years.

Consider this as an open invitation to participate in a celebration of Todd’s life:

Viewing
Wiederspahn Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes
Sunday, November 9, 2008 at 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

On Monday:
Apparatus Procession (12:30)

Cheyenne, WY 82009

Cheyenne, WY 82001

Reception (Following Memorial Service)
Laramie County Fire District 2
5800 N. College Dr

A scholarship has been set up a Laramie County Community College for Fire/EMS students in Todd’s name.

Please note that the State of Wyoming will match any gifts on a one to one basis so your 100 dollars donation will be worth 200 dollars.

Please send any honorariums to:
LCCC Foundation
1400 East College Drive
Cheyenne, WY 82007

Please feel free to email or call with questions and feel free to forward this message to those who would be interested in participating.

Joe.
Condolences, man. It's tough to lose a friend.
Trained fellas for AMR here in Cal., Roots in Wyoming. Good folks there!
Pegs down, flag at half for him tomorrow!
Life goes on, but it's never the same when you've lost a friend!
Been there, done that!

Thanks guys, was a really bad day with all kinds of mixed feeling since Deron's service was also Monday & I really wanted to be there. Todd was medic 7 & that's his favorite bus. AMR flew in there honor guard out of Kalif for the service & they also sent enough duty crews from other areas to cover the city.

Joe,
this is first time I seen this thread and apologize I am posting late but wanted to express I am sorry about your friend Todd passing.
Like Todd, I also passed through Wyoming when I was a kid in 73' staying at the Home Ranch Motei in Cheyenne when my brother was stationed at F.E. Warren A.F.B. and have been working on a chance to bring my family there.
I have always had appreciation of medics and especially even more when I needed one back in February which is the reason I am posting now.
