Here is a recipe to try.From a VFD in Wisconsin.
(making them right now)

Fire Station Brats.
2 pkgs. of Johnsonville Fresh Brats(10)
1 onion
1 bottle of GOOD Ketchup. 28-32oz
1-2 bottles of beer.

Grill the brats until fully cooked and thoroughly browned.

Transfer the brats into the above mixture. It should be thick like gravy.
I'm heating up the mixture and then placing the brats in the pan.
(Using the wifes big,expensive fry pan.....wish me luck!)

Simmer the brats until ready to serve.
Can be from 2-4 hours.

They will be tasty and tender.

Honey Roasted Sweet Corn
6 ears corn
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup water
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation -
Pull the husks back but don´t remove them. Remove the silk. In a small saucepan, boil the honey and water together for 4 minutes. Brush the corn with the mixture. Add salt and pepper to taste. Place the husks back on the corn and wrap in aluminum foil. Place the wrapped ears on the grill and cook for about 15 minutes, turning frequently.

Herbed Corn on the Cob

6 ears corn
1/2 cup butter
2 T fresh pasley - minced
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/4 tsp pepper
Preparation -
Clean and husk corn. Add parsley, thyme and pepper to melted butter. Brush ears with butter mixture, wrap carefully in heavy foil and grill for about 15 minutes, turning frequently.
