On a Friday, with a good ride planned tomorrow. Sad face. :icon_frow

So, this is the first time this has happened to me. Do I remove the tire and rim or take the whole bike in?

Any recommendations on a tire to put on my Vulcan 500? I never ride in the rain, I'm a fair-weather rider. But it is my primary mode of transportation, so I want something good.

Any tips for new tire break in? I heard they have some coating on them that makes them unusually slick when brand new?

Take the wheel off, and it will be quicker and cheaper to get a new tire installed.
Tires usually have mold release on them, so the first 100 miles should be ridden with caution.

A good shop will have it balanced and ready to be re-installed. As mentioned, be very careful the first 100 miles.
