I need some help with what to do with the forks on my 73 H1. The chrome has started to flake off the top of my fork tubes just below the triple tree. I would like to keep this bike as original as possible if I can. Can I have these rechromed
or do I have to replace them.

You can have them rechromed, but have in mind that it's not regular chrome.
I'd buy replacements though. You can't tell the difference and it might be cheaper. Ask here for where to get new ones:
