i tried once in another forum but to little avail.

Does anyone know where frame sliders might be available for an 05 ex500.
i think they might be a better alternative than paying for damage if I fall off.

One of the only ways I've seen, is to buy Generic sliders, and mount them on the frame where your lower fairing is. You'll have to drill it out htough... I've been looking around and its all I've been able to find... but I'm not sure.

This is the only place I know of that makes them specifically for the 500. You do have to cut a hole in the lower cowl for the front set and they are $85.00 a set.

I have to give BRG props for thinking about the EX500 when most could care less, but that looks like kind of a crummy location for frame sliders. I'm too lazy/ too cold out, to go look on mine for a better place. May not be one, but I shall see. I liked the ones for the exhaust though.

I would probably just buy a generic set for about half the price of the brg ones.

They put it their because it mounts to the motor mount bolts. Otherwise you would have to drill the frame.

I went out and looked on my bike today and you are right. That big engine mount bolt looks like a better spot to mount those in real life than in the BRG pictures.
