the consumption of my ZL400 is around 10Kilometers per liter. I find that a bit high on fuel consumption.

Whoa Nellie. I dont' know the average mpg of this dude but what you've given is the equivalent of 22.6 miles per gallon. Pretty good for a Suburban maybe but not for a 1/2 liter motorcycle. There's not a wet spot under your bike that smells like gasoline is there?

Sorry for the long delay in reply.

i use the zl400 everyday for commuting home to office and back, one way would be 12 kilometers.

There are no gas leaks.

what should be the average distance per liter(gallon) of a ZL400?

at 5 liters per 100 KM that would be roughly at 20 KM per liter.

my consumption plays from 8 to 10 Km per liter.

how may i tune this to attain efficiency in distance?

oh i use it everyday in city (traffic etc.)

I had a Honda VFR750 with 5 liters per 100km. I don't know how to tune it, maybe you should take it to a repair shop.

Thats a hard question to answer, i dont believe they imported those to the US. Cool bike though! My 500 gets 60mpg in town.

yeah i heard the zl400 is not very good on mpg

for the UK gallon (4.54 litres) i think it was around 40mpg

which is particularly good, but when you giving it 12000rpm all is forgotten, until the petrol station arrives quicker than you thought
