Hi there!

I'm looking for someone in the LA area who could help me do something cool for my brother-in-law, Drew. The picture below is of Drew's dad, sometime in the early 1980s, on what looks to be a stock Kawasaki KZ750.

His dad sadly passed away when Drew was a kid, and this image is one of the few he has connecting him to how objectively cool his dad was in his younger years.

Now, Drew and my sister are weeks away from welcoming their first baby into the world, and what better way, I thought, to give him some tangible linkage to his dad than to do something creative with this photo.

I'm trying to find someone who could help us recreate this picture, this time with my brother-in-law astride the same model vintage Kawasaki with the California coast in the background.

Would obviously be cool if yours has the identical gray paint scheme as the one in the photo, but any 1981ish KZ750 will do.

If you don't have this bike but might have a good lead, I'm all ears!

Cheers,
David

Howdy. Can't help w your quest, but the motorcycle is a KZ750E >> probably an 81 KZ750-E2 or 82 KZ750-E3. And the paint would have been Silver >> either Moondust Silver or Galaxy Silver. I don't know how the colors differ. Here's an 82 brochure & a photo (unknown year. probably either 81 or 82. not mine)

ps: it may be that the 81 was Moondust Silver w red pin-striping & the 82 was Galaxy Silver w blue pin-striping. guessing.
