Here's my girlfriend on her bike last year. It's an '82 KZ1000 LTD.

She asked me if I could paint pink flames on it over the winter so here's what I did.

Then, just because she's so awesome and let's me keep the bikes in the basement all winter, I carved her a new seat and sent it out to the upholsterer's to get it covered.

Here's how it's lookin' so far.

That looks good. Not too over-the-top but colorful and personal. So what does "lookin' so far" mean? What's in mind to do?

She also wants me to wrap her 4 into 1 pipes with titanium coloured wrap. Plus this year I am doing a 3-angle valve job on it. It's an ongoing project so maybe next year I will paint the wheels and lower fork legs black and if I'm really ambitious, powder coat the cylinder block black as well. She's not one for washing her bike so I'm keeping the chrome to a minimum. We're going for a cafe look but not full-out cafe racer. No clip-on bars, velocity stacks or battery removal as we do like it to be capable of some fairly serious touring.

New to forum.
Took the MSF course 2 weeks ago having never ridden (I'm 41), purchased my 2013 Ninja 650 the following weekend, got my endorsement and went for first ride yesterday! So far so good. Lots to learn but having a blast so far.

Uh...no. SportBiker chicks they ain't. They ride like girls. Really prissy girls. With makeup.

You know the T shirts that say "Fight like a girl"? One of them owns one, courtesy of yours truly.

LOL It started life as a 1982 KZ440 Ltd. Frame is extended 4" and turned into a rigid. Put on a suicide clutch and a jockey shift (I used a door knob on the shifter) I removed the rear brake cable and put in rods and a bell crank. Sportster peanut tank, Triumph rear fender. Paint job is rattle can and unintentional tank sealer drips. I call it Frankenbike.
