I recently bought an ex500 that had been sitting awhile.
I took the gas tank off and pulled all of the lines that were attached. Then when i went to put it back together i couldnt remember where the line that came directly out of the back of the gas tank attaches to if it does attach to something. It comes out of the end of the gas tank right infront of the seat. Could someone please help this beginner out? Thank YOu

i just pulled the tank on mine too and wandered the same.... it wasn't connected to anything, so i didn't worry about it, except to try to route it were it was, pointing downwward. it didn't hurt anything so i guess it's just a vent tube.

On mine there are 2 lines that are just vent lines that connect to nothing, they just go down about 8 inches and aim toward the ground.

I was hoping that was it. It seems to be running fine with out that tube hooked to anything. Thanks for the help.

One of the lines is a vent, the other is an overfill line. I think. Or one is overfill and the other actually goes to the engine. (doh)
