on the 92 (square style) gauges, I pulled the cover and want to separate the face from the gauges. I can't see how to remove the gauge needles without force.

Is there some trick?

Usually the needles are a push fit onto the shaft but you gotta be way carefull not to bend anything especially refitting the needle.

Needle update...

Used some small needlenose pliers to carfully pry it up evenly... the whole rod started pulling out of the gauge.

That sucker isn't moving... I think they super glued it on or did some kind of Japanese high tech metal/plastic quantum bond.

I have another set of gauges off a 96 EX500, the temp gauge is not part of the rest of the gauges, so I think I'll separate it off and make a new housing for it... it looks cooler anyway.
