GPX750R slightly modified
Standard exhaust - but I got tied of shoehorning the 4 carbs in&out with the air box in the way! So goodbye air box - Hullo pod filters. This will of course require a jet change, does any one have a starting point for main jet size at the moment they are running 105's

I agree that with the airbox its much easier to tune but when some punk on a newer 600 blows you away you will immediately say WHAT IF @#%@!

Thanks for that. I didn't want the airbox as it makes the fitting of carbs a real exercise in frustration as there is no room to work. I had hoped that the pod filters would make life easier, not really after more performance. Just for info, I did try 115's and restricted the pod flow to 75% and the thing went like a scalded cat - but a bit iffy in mid-rev range - FRIGHTY!!!

Final comment - I put the airbox back on, it goes just fine should not have wasted my time but some times boys just like tinkering around with bikes.
