Well, I finally completed the MSF safety course. I really enjoyed it, and would highly recomend it to anyone that is a beginner, or hasnt ridden in awhile. I have been riding my 800 Classic around town practicing until I finally got the course completed. Now that it's done, I can start to ride it more on a daily basis. I am looking forward to taking it out on a back desert highway for a nice cruise.

Congratulations! Isn't it a great course? I rode a lot when I was younger, but it had been more than 20 years when I decided to start riding again. The MSF course was a great refresher for me. In fact, I learned skills I never really learned being self-taught, even though I rode on the street for several years on almost a daily basis. I'm looking forward to taking the advanced course on my bike next season.

Enjoy your 800! I absolutely love mine.

For newer, as well as more advanced riders, I recommend the DVD put out by Jerry "Motorman" Palladino. He really does make handling those giant cruisers look like a child's toy & teaches you how to do it.

Thanks everyone, it sure is a good feeling to get it out of the way. We are planning on a Sunday ride this weekend, so I'll let everyone know how it went. The weather here has been perfect for riding. A little chilly in the mornings, but the afternoons are great! If some of you ever come out this way for the winter, I'm sure you would enjoy the riding weather. Just let me know so we can ride together.

Take care all, and Safe and Happy riding!

Thanks a lot for this recommendation. I ordered the Ride Like a Pro for the Ladies DVD right after I read your comment. It's a good thing, too, since I bought a 1500 last night and it's a BIG bike for me.
