I thought i would check out other Kawasaki forums other than the one i haunt over here. This looks like a nice place to get to know some of the kwaka ridin brethren from across the big puddle
My name is Tony...... i'm from a small country town in the Hunter Valley region of NSW, Australia. I currently have a 1984 GPz 750 Turbo, which has been in the shop the last couple of weeks getting a full check over after i bought it. It currently runs about 24 pounds of boost in race mode with 65cc injectors, straight through pipe, and a few other little add-ons to make me nearly crap my pants every time i give it a fist full. Haven't had it on a dyno yet, but i'm looking to in the new year.
I've been a 750 Turbo tragic ever since i had one about 10 years ago.... fell in love with the styling, the look, and the way it comes onto boost and tries to pull itself out from under you
Lookin forward to becoming a part if this forum

Hey Tony, Welcome to the BTK forum. Too bad you didn't join earlier. I'm in Sydney now, ready to go back home to the States tomorrow. I just finished up a 7-day ride from Sydney, thru the Blue Mountains to Winsor, Cessnock, Armidale, Belligen, Bryon Bay, Port Macquirie, and back to Sydney. The mountain rides were fantastic and the Hunter Valley region has some fabulous scenery and mountain roads. The run from Stroud, thru Gloucester, Walcha, Uralia, to Armidale on the Armidale Rd is fantastic!

Welcome mate

I envy you... I lived in Sydney for 5 years, from 84 to 89... I was small at the time but **** do I miss life down under

So you ride a turbo, ey? You crazy! There's a good reason they stopped making those death machines!!! I'll bet you get a good kick every time you take her for a ride!

Stick around, you'll love it here

thanks for the warm welcome guys
The bike goes very well.... scares the tripe out of me! although, there are plenty of N/A bikes these days with more power, it's not the same as a turbo  I'm producing boost at around 3,000rpm, and can accelerate rather quickly in top gear to overtake without having to drop a gear. I'm told that i could expect around 140HP at the back wheel  More than enough for this little black duck!
Christo i saw you mention this place, don't think i ever saw a link though. I just googled "american kawasaki forum" and this one was on top of the list

Hey, Tony ... glad you made it to the mad house with some of the greatest people on Earth.

When you can post lots of ride pictures during your summer ... lots of us are snow-bound here so you can help keep us sane, or, as sane as possible anyway

Well, there is that.
But balanced against the predilection for good beer, good sport, and good times, they stack up nicely against the local talent. Plus, they speak english, sorta. So long as they come with beer money, that's good enough for me!
