Hello All,

Still working on my proj. bike, a bit disappointed with the condition of the forks. Here are some shots of the 'good' fork:

The other fork is worse. So far, the spacer and main spring are rusted into the fork tube. I'm working on it though :).

On a good note, I found a place right here in town that does powder coating. They've been at it for ~8 yrs. Started out coating '65 - '82 Corvette frames. The guy showed me around the shop, let me check out an early Camaro they're working on, showed me a custom cruiser seat he's building, etc. He had an '82 Kaw frame just out of coating, and it looked good, basic black. It had been modified to carry a drag-bike swingarm. I got a good feeling about dealing with him. Looks like about $220 for my frame/color & about the same for the wheels. I can get the first phase finished for about $700. That's frame, wheels, fork sliders, and some welding I want done to the frame. Sound out of bounds to anyone?

Thanx for reading ;).
