I have a chance to get some Hard Krome pipes for my VN800...problem is, they're not exactly what I want. I want the 2 3/4 straights. But the guys is making me a great deal...should I settle?

I want a nice, low rumble; nothing obnoxious. Anyone know how the kickers sound?

Don't know how the Kickers sound, but I loved the HardKrome 3" pipes I put on my 1500! :-D

Well I bought the Kickers. $100. Basically the guy moved out to a retirement community and they made him take his pipes off. Then he ended up selling his 800 with the stock pipes. Now he has a sweet Triumph Classic(?)...the big one.

Anyway...I'm nervous about putting these guys on. Looks like they're not straight pipes, I see a baffle in there. I don't want to tick off the entire countryside. For $100 if they're too loud I'll take 'em off and ebay 'em.

I may put these on today...but there's a lot of good football on, so maybe not. The wife will have to be my sidekick if I do.

I had the HK 2 3/4's staggered on my 1500 when I still had it and at highway speed I couldn't hear my MP3 music. If you take it easy when riding out of the neighborhood it should be fine but when you light the wick they really get loud!!!

Like BamaBob, I have the 3" Straights on my V2K and I am extremely pleased with them. Can say anything about the kickers....
