I saw a 2001 kawasaki ZX-6R for sale at $2000. I thought this was a great deal, but apparently someone test drove it and burnt up the clutch, the guy says all it needs are some friction plates, If this is the case please let me know, I'd love to own a nice and nimble 600 for 2 grand

yeah? Has that stopped me before? (just to let you know, it hasn't) I may be 14, but i know a deal when i see one (or at least i think i do :) ) Plus I'll be getting my permit(s) in about 20 months, which is ample time to pay the bike off, plus I can still ride it at the track :p good talking to ya

Was riding home on the Expressway and there were signs on the side telling motorcycles to get into the right lane. I get into the right lane I ride a bit further when I notice a helicopter and a whole mess of cops telling all motorcycles to pull into a truck stop where they checked us all for the proper riding materials... lisence, insurance card, and registration. They also did an on the spot inspection of mirrors, lights and horn. Actully I was pretty inpressed. So many people like you riding around scares the heck outta me. Glad to see the boys in blue actually earning a pay-check. Your lucky they are not doing it by you.

i hear ya..i was driving around on public streets on my dirt bike too when i was 14. BUT if u really wanna be smart about it,instead of using that money to pay that bike off...u could be saving it,and get something brand new when you get your permit. :D

I'm 14 too and I'd buy it if it was near me. Right now, though, I'm just saving up for my KX125, then my car, and then I'll get a bike.

lol, you somehow got the impression that i would ride it on the street. I wouldn't. What do you mean "like you"? As far as I'm concerned, I've never met you, no disrespect but I think if you knew me you wouldn't be so negative on the subject. Thats ok thou, Poeple are intitled to their opinion. Plus this seems like a great deal to me, and I'd hate to pass on a great deal just becuase I couldn't use it yet. Didn't know they could do spot inspections like that, They'll probably be doing that soon hear, every night I hear someone revving their bike up, then i hear a siren. No joke! every night! Anyway safe riding to you.EmyJ, that is what I was already doing, but I can't work to many hours a day (I'm 14 and over hear we have restrictions on the times we can work, and the jobs). So I'm basically getting about 5.75 an hour at Kroger, But I might switch to Burger King, they started my sister off at 6.85! Thats a huge increase, work maybe harder, but I'll get my money fast . Well, stay safe out here guys.

you know what, you take things a LITTLE too personal. you asked for ppls opinion and if you cant take it then dont ask. i wasnt trying to be "negative" about it. I was just trying to let you see it in another light.

I think the bike would be a great deal, and riding it on the track before you ever hit the street is one of the best things you could ever do. Pick it up if it just needs new friction plates.

I agree. Save up your money and buy something new. Remember, deals are always available. You just have to search for them.

I wanted a bike when I was 16. My dad told me no and to wait. While I was mad, he was right. I would have killed myself on a bike at 16. I rode dirt bikes from age 4 to 18. I still would have killed myself. I was fearless.

Good thing I waited. I'm now about to turn 21 and I just bought a brand new 2004 ZX6R. Up to you man but I would save money and buy a new one.

Yeah well, maybe I was a little harsh. But you get the gist of it. Just be safe and don't get yourself killed.
