We've both have the Candy Red metallic HJC helmets and have been looking at getting some kind of tinted shield. Since we both wear glasses and don't have prescription sunglasses the only other option is a colored sheld of some kind.

I have HJC Symax and AC-3. I thought that tinted was a good thing, since I wouldn't have to take my sun glasses on and off. Didn't like the Dark Smoke. At certain angles it looked like I was looking through a fog. I switched back to clear and sunglasses. Also, since I sometimes can't be sure if I will make it back by dark I didn't like the idea of taking two shields.

I realize you have prescription and your choices are limited. Maybe the lighter smoke would be better.

I did find one thing out. Shields (clear or smoke) and polarized sunglasses do not work well together. You get some 60's colors going on. :wink:

EWWWWWW!!! Not a good thing! I love the fresh air and freedom, greens, blues, the sound of water...oh yeah, polarized sunglasses...huh?

EWWWW!!! is right. I like the stuff you mention also. That's one of the best reasons to ride a motorcycle. You feel it. Not just observe it out a window.

Polarized sunglasses are a good thing when you live where there are hardly ever any clouds. Just do not mix with face shields.
