What is the purpose of the Iridium?
Does it sharpen/inhance otherwise define the view?
How much does it cut down on the glare when it's a bright sunny day?
How do they compare to a smoked shield?
I'm full of questions about the iridium as I've never seen/heard about it before and don't really understand the purpose of it.
For shooting I've got a pair of Bole sunglasses (when I wore contacts) with 4 interchangable lenses. Used the heck out of them in the desert but when shooting I was never a big fan of the yellow lenses. For me the rose or clear lenses worked best.
No problem getting the glasses on after the helm is in place. It's just a pain & slows down things a tad.
Since I'm a volly FF/EMT I need to get dressed quick at night, grab a coat/helm and hop on da bike. Been taking the truck, but with the price of Diesel as long as it's even semi nice out the bike will be my main transportation.
I'd like a shield that really cuts down on the glare in the day but is not dangerously dark at night. It's only about 2 1/2 miles to the station, but that's way to far when you can't see
