How can I see if the engine will turn over?
Do I put it in 1st gear or 2nd gear and try to spin the wheel, or does it matter? I tried searching but I couldn't find anything right off.
I have already took the plugs out and put oil in and let it soak over night. I couldn't get it to turn over today but I didn't know how hard to attempt without breaking somethin.

If you can, get the bike onto a centerstand or rear racing stand and get the bike into top gear. This will let you turn the back wheel the easiest. You shouldn't have to worry about breaking something, if you can't turn the wheel in top gear then the engine is seized.
