Hi folks,
Here are my babies........ for now. I just bought the Nomad last October, so I'll be selling the Classic in the spring (can't afford to keep em both). They're both great rides, just in different ways. I do like the Classic's color. Oh well, I'm sure she'll make someone happy this spring.
Looking forward to chatting with everyone. There are a lot of great looking bikes on this forum.
It's nice to see so many people taking pride in keeping their rides shiny and well taken care of. Keep it up.

Gorgeous! Both of 'em!

I'm curious - what are the essential differences in ride and handling? How much heavier is the Nad - and what's the effect??

I have yet to see a long distance cruiser that can match the looks and style of the Nomad for the $$ and yours looks great. Growing up in Ontario I know it has some of the best cycling roads with twisties that make the NC mountains blush in some places...enjoy.

Thanks,
The Nomad weighs almost 230lbs more than the 800 Classic (Dry weight 743lbs versus 516lbs). The main difference I found with the handling is that when I first take off, the Nomad has better balance (probably because of the weight) and it just drives itself. You also don't get pushed around by the wind (or passing tractor trailers) as much.

Thanks everyone,
It's always nice to be complimented on your bike. There are a lot of people with gorgeous rides on this site and a great bunch of people too. I hope to meet some of you maybe at Americade in Glen Falls, NY.
