LsSeven;2092738 REASON I JOINED: I joined this form because I am thinking about possible modification for my 650r. I already have plans to add a fender eliminator and would like to add a slip-on exhaust but I would like additional ideas. Any suggestions please pass them on. Thanks[/QUOTE said:

Hey there,

I'm Patrycja and I have an '06 EX500. I live in Phoenix, AZ and I just broke my first 5,000miles.

I love foreign and independent movies, exotic food, music, reading books and hanging out with my friends.

Motorcycling is quickly becoming my new passion and I'm really happy I've decided to get into it.

It's cool to meet other women who ride sport bikes =) I don't see many of you here in Phoenix.

Peace cool sportbikers!

Hello Ladies! My name is Sarah and I reside in Pickerington, OH (12 Miles East of Columbus). Started riding dirtbikes as a kid with my brothers and purchased a Ninja 250 in 2006. Sold the ninja and bought a 2010 VN900 Custom SE off the showroom floor. It currently only has about 1300 miles on it but I plan to put quite a bit more on this summer.

I am origionally from Johnstown, PA (70 miles east of Pittsburgh), home of the Thunder in the Valley Motorcycle Rally. I grew up going to the rally every year with my dad and knew i wanted to be a biker chick at a very young age. Needless to say, Thunder has grown to be one of the biggest rallies in the US getting about 200,000 to 250,000 people a year. it always falls on the 4th weekend of June. If anyone is interested in any information, please let me know. It a family friendly atmosphere with biker events and adult only designated areas. The rolling hills of PA give a breath taking view and back drop to Thunder in the Valley. Every year, I, along with several friends make the trip from Columbus to Johnstown (4.5 hour drive in the car).

We also attend Jimbo's Ralley in the Hocking Hills area of Ohio. Another beautiful ride and very fun event.

A group of us plan on attending/ riding to Sturgis in 2012. Any and all info is well appreciated. We are looking to stay outskirts of all the events and activity. Any suggestions on good places to stay is encouraged! Really looking forward to it.

Anyways, really happy to be apart of this forum and looking forward to getting to know fellow Kawi riders!

Hello Ladies, I am Sandy and I live in St Louis. I have been riding scooters for the last 7 years and I keep moving up. My last bike was a 07 burgman 400 after I hit the 30,000 mark I traded it in on a 2010 vn900 classic, I love this bike. Right after my Mother died I decided it was time to do not wish I could, I have not stopped since. I have met so many wonderful people that I would never have known if not for a shared love of riding.

Hey Sandy.. welcome :) I identified completely with your comments about your mom. My mom scared the daylights out of us kids early on by showing us mutilated motorcyclist bodies in her emergency room.... after she passed on, I realized I needed to see for myself...and, like you, I have never looked back... :)

GreenMeanie reporting in. I'm relatively new to the forum and due to my job, I'm only on here hit or miss. I too am in the St. Louis Mo area. I grew up with dirt bikes and my Uncle taught me lots of tricks. He raced AMA etc.and my grandparents owned a motocross track. My mother would not let me get a bike, nor race. I used to stomp around and promise when I got big enough to buy my own I would. I did. First bike was a 1980 Yamaha Enduro 175 when I was just out of high school. That was a long time ago. I just sold an FZ6, still have a 2007 Pearl Blue Night Rod Vrod (thats currently for sale) and a 2004 Candy Lime Mean Streak. Hubby has a 2007 Special Ed. Meanie. I commute to work as often as possible on a bike and joy ride whenever else.

Hey ladies,
I'm Kelly 26 from Alexandria, VA. I purchased my 2010 Ninja 250R a couple month's ago as my beginner bike and I'm loving it so far! I'm new to riding, but have been interested it for many year's, watching Moto GP w/the guy's and seeing everyone else ride and now I finally have my own bike. I hope to eventually get up to a 600, but taking it slow with my 250 until I'm ready to make the switch.

As far as thing's I'm interested in, I LOVE cooking/baking, fishing, snowboarding, paintballing, getting my hair & nails done, doing makeup (thought about doing it professionally, but that's still on hold for now), hanging out with my family, spending time with my 4 dog's, & playing Playstation 3 (COD mainly). I love doing anything outdoors and having a great time!

I look forward to meeting all of you!
~Kelly~

Hello ladies!
My name is Amanda I'm 24 and I've been riding dirt since I was 9. I got my moto licence the day I turned 18 and borrowed and later stole the hubby's 2000 ZX12R. I just got a 2005 Ninja 636 after riding a friends and having a blast on the bike that was slightly more my size! I have a 2006 KLX 250 S for the dirt and lately have been taking it to school, free parking! I am a stay at home mom to a darling two year old and a full time student. When the weather won't let me ride I really enjoy cooking, reading and eating out. Anthony Bourdain is my current hero in the food world. I hope to meet some lady riders here in Colorado. Best wishes to all!

Hey everyone!
My name is Ada, and honestly, I've never ridden a bike before, but I'm purchasing a Kawasaki Ninja of some sort soon and have signed up here to hopefully educate myself beforehand. Everyone has been telling forever that I shouldn't get a bike/I dont need a bike, and I'm finally just to the point to where I'm going to do it anyways. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Welcome Ada... and good for you :)

standard advice is to take the MSF class... Motorcycle Safety Foundation....something is probably offered around you somewhere but it might have a slightly different name. Especially with no experience this will help you a lot and probably save your life....and certain limit the number of times you will go down...( and yes, it will happen)

You might wait until after the class to decide on what to buy.... and definitely try to test out many many bikes before you buy anything... you may like cruisers better than a ninja?

Buy used ! you almost certainly will find things about the first bike you dont like after a bit.... get something decent and low cost and resellable for your learning period.....

wear your gear... all the time. The short trip to the grocery store might be the one where someone surprises you and you find yourself sliding on your face on the asphalt. Been there, done that.

keep up the great attitude and enjoy your ride !!!

Hello Ladies! I'm a 37 year old mother of four and I started riding dirt bikes a year ago! I also am learning to drive my boyfriends street bike but I am crazy about the dirt bike. I have a 1992 KX125. In my spare time I race Mud Trucks and hunt/fish!
