We bought our new 1600 Saturday. My Grandson asked me to take him to school on it yesterday. I had to call him at 7:15 and tell him that 27 degreees was too cold for an old man. Big disappointment for us both.

This morning, the phone rang at 7:00 AM. It was the Grandson. "Granddad, is it warm enough for the bike today?"

Anyway, we pulled up to middle school with the Cobra pipes thrumming. Maybe we'll just figure this is the permanent way to school.

Hi All,

Thanks for the nice words. I'm picking him up again tomorrow morning, but a little earlier so more kids can see him. He's 14 and goes 200 pounds, wrestling heavyweight on the wrestling team. It's a good thing we got the 1600, cause it's hauling a lot of beef.

His Dad goes well over 300 and I'm close to 300, so it runs in the family. We're really lucky to have a close relationship with all our kids and Grandkids. His sister is a little shy about getting on the bike, but perhaps time will prevail.

My wife and I rode it to church Sunday, much to the amusement of soem of the folks. With the Cobra pipes on it, no one falls asleep hile it's running.

I'd like to be in your shoes someday. Definitely priceless moments with you and your grandson. I am sure he is having a blast with unforgetable memories. I also can still remember vividly the first time my uncle gave me a ride on his motorcycle. Those memories last a lifetime.
