If I recall right, the widest you can go on our Meanie's is a 210 or so and that requires notching the swing arm (see the Rider Forum's for a write up). Otherwise, I think 200 is the biggest for a direct swap. I just run stockers myself.
I have a 2002 1500 and I was wondering the same thing. Mine has 160, but I would like to go wider....now, would the size of the rim matter?? bc if the rim is gonna press the tire in, then it would make no difference as to 170 to 200, I would think, no?
For reasons I'll not go into I'm currently running stock size(170/60). Prior to that I had a Darkside(195/45) which I only ran
for 2200 miles cause I didnt like the way it tracked. Prior to that I had a 200/55 Commander II
on & loved it. Could not tell any difference from stock in handling. I will go back to 190/55 minimum next time I need a rear tire.
