I just got a 1988 kx 125 from a friend who was willing to just give it to me. The motor was blown but besides that the bike is in alright shape. For me this is my new project bike. My plans are to take the whole entire bike apart til its just a pile of bolts, nuts and parts, then totally rebuild it from the ground up. Im finishing up on the engine which im boring up two sizes and installing a wiseco piston, i have a newly rebuilt crankshaft , new tranny gears,new seals and gaskets, in other words the engine is goin to be practically refurbished. for the rest of the bike im going to rebuild the front forks and rear shock, give the bike frame, engine,exhaust, swingarm and other previously painted parts new paint jobs.The plastic is in great shape for its year but i might replace it anyways. The whole bike is going to be gone through. I don't expect to get too much money for the bike, i mostly just rebuilt it because its what i like to do. Its not costing me too much either because all the work on the bike im doing myself. Im curious to see how much money i can get for it, if you have any estimates for how much i can get for it please tell. thanx.

The NADA blue book price on that bike is between $270 and $355. Pretty cheap huh? In the real world I think you could get anywhere from 500 to a 900 depending on the condition.
