Where should I spray a cleaner? Do I need to remove an air filter and spray the cleaner directly into the carb intake with running engine? How dangerous is to run an engine without air filter while appling the cleaner? I have Ninja 500R, 2001 year.

The best way to clean any carb is to dismantle it in order to give all the jets a good soaking and to remove any varnish inside. If you don't do it that way it should not be a problem to run the engine without the filter for a couple of minutes even tho doing so will create a very lean condition...so long as you don't do it in a dust storm!
