im going to do all the adjustments on the carb, rejet and what not... because it smells strong, like its running to rich.... had a datsun 280z that had tripple weabers on it, almost the same setup as whats on my ninja.... just not sure how to tell if i went to lean or not

1. go for a long ride and check your plug color (should be TAN/BROWN------ NOT WHITE OR GRAY)
2. when you rev the bike do the RPMS return quickly/smoothly or do they HAANNNNGGGGG before coming back down ? if they hang then its lean
3. do you have a temp guage on the bike ? does it run hotter or colder ?

revs dont stick at all, and temp gauge runs less than quarter all the time, sometimes its barley off the cold when its cold out.... its not running lean now, just wanted to know how to tell, so when i adjust it from being rich to normal (i hope).... i'll know if its correct or lean or what not... thx
