Whats up everone, i have a kdx 200, and im pretty sure i got ripped off as soon as a bought the bike, but it ran good for quite some time, then al of a sudden it stared to run really dogish, so i fond out it had no compression and the rings were shot, but thats not the worst of thing i fond of that my rod bearings are messed up, there is play up and down, which is not good, so i was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it where i could go to get it dont, i live around chicago illinois, i would really appreciate some help, thanks

Hmm....

You'll need to check the cylinder walls and also the crank. Hopefully, the rod bearings being bad hasn't taken out the crank but if you can push up and down on the rod...I'm not very hopeful. Any shop should be able to do this...one preferably with a good working relationship with a machine shop.

I recently had a YZ125 motor rebuilt for the same reasons.
If you take it to a dealer be prepared for at least a $1000.00 bill.
If you have the ability, do it yourself, or find someone who can.
One reason for taking it to a dealer (that you trust) is getting it done right the first time, I'm not very motor savvy so I went the dealer route.
