Not a big accomplishments, but I learned I need to check the fluids regularly.

I ride about 20 miles through teh desert from work to get get home, and my temp light came on halfway through.. scary stuff for a new rider, but turns out my coolant was very very low!

Hey there and well done

We all started somewhere and the fluids is an important check ... it is good you managed to top up the coolant but my only concern is why the level was low?

Have you checked for leaks anywhere, coolant can leak from the rubber hoses or from blown headgaskets, hopefully just a hose or was never topped up fully previously.

Check the condition of the radiator cap too as these age and don't always keep the fluid in when the bike gets hot.
