Hi,

I have a KX125 with the following serial number: KX125BO121851
I just purchased it and was told it was '87 but just wanted to make sure in case I need to buy any parts.

Your dealer should be able to look that info up via the VIN number.

its either an 86 or an 87. i think. the B in the vin designates the year but unlike other companys kawasaki liked to stretch the years out. 86 was a B1 model and 87 was a B2 model. your local kaw dealer can look up vin ranges on the microfische. A pic might help. I think 86 still had rear drum brake and 87 was the first year for disc, not 100% though.
