heres the deal, i have a ex500 with kinda lots of body damage, so i was wondering if it would be a better idea to get some better looking parts for it, i wouldnt wanna go spend all the money to make it look stock again. I am not sure what other models can actually fit on there, yea it may seem like a dumd question to you bike freaks, but im new to the bike world. so if anyone has any knowledge to what other motorcycle body parts would fit on ther i would apreciate all the input.
thank you

ex500 and ex250 should both use the exact same pieces.

but you might also find a body shop, my fairings are all at the painters right now, and they fixed my top fairing and it was jacked up. made the corners look correct too, even after I kinda ground one off.

e-bay and a company called airtech (I think)

I don't think any other pieces fit, all other models are based on a 4-cylinder engine.

Depending where you are there are quite a few companies doing aftermarket replacements.

A unpainted front fairing appears to be about the same price as a second hand one in fair condition in the UK. Around the £140 mark. I've not bought one yet though.

Anyone have a diagram of the front subframe (the frame under the fairing) as I think mine may need a little work :-(. Hard to straighten something when you don't know what shape is should be ;-)

I can't find the url for skidmarks but I know they do some GPZ parts (the Eurpoean name for the Ninja 500R is the GPZ500S).

http://www.bartonmotors.co.uk/parts/new_gpz500s(d).htm seem to be good guys and are helpful. They told me they were starting doing parts for 2004 and they are listed, without prices.

Sorry to summon this thread from the grave, but I have questions.

Does anyone here have any Airtech parts? What's the primary difference between these fiberglass fairings and OEM plastic fairings?

Have any new dealers of such things surfaced in the past year?

Thanks
