avoid that bike like the plague
unless you wanna go through the hassle of buying a NEW frame and basically destroying the bike to build a new one around the new frame. Cracked frames are difficult to fix.
Of course, the only frames i've ever fixed are those on 3 and 4 wheelers. so it could be different on a bike...but i doubt it

Go for it. There's nothing wrong with welding on frames. It's a common thing done on unibodies.

BAH I've done both and never had any problems with vibrations from balance, strength, or apperance.

Might want make sure there isn't anything else wrong with it since it does have a cracked frame. Thats pretty serious. I'm not saying you can't fix it, but there maybe other things wrong with it.
