i can get a 95 ZX6R, with 19,000 miles on it, only problem is a spider crak on the frame, top of the frame, some scraches, and one more visible loss of paint, for $1900.

is this a good price?

avoid that bike like the plague
unless you wanna go through the hassle of buying a NEW frame and basically destroying the bike to build a new one around the new frame. Cracked frames are difficult to fix.
Of course, the only frames i've ever fixed are those on 3 and 4 wheelers. so it could be different on a bike...but i doubt it

Go for it. There's nothing wrong with welding on frames. It's a common thing done on unibodies.

i talked to the shop, said 40 bux to fix it...
btw, the crack is barely noticeable, and not deep at all, it can even possible be a crack in clearcoat

HUGE difference between welding on a car and welding on a bike :roll:

BAH I've done both and never had any problems with vibrations from balance, strength, or apperance.

Might want make sure there isn't anything else wrong with it since it does have a cracked frame. Thats pretty serious. I'm not saying you can't fix it, but there maybe other things wrong with it.
