While am waiting for my new 1600 Nomad 2008 to arrive at the dealership, I have begun to order a few accessories, I have ordered the light bar, and a few other items. My question is will the universal ISO grips from Kuryakn work on this bike? They look great on my C-50 Boulevard with the tips.

Universal are a PITA because you have to get the OEM grip off of the throttle tube and install the new one without getting glue in it.

Vulcan-specific ISO's are a quick install.

I use the Iso-Flame (also available specifically for Vulcans), but the regular Iso works great (part number referenced above fits all Vulcans)

Trouble is for us wannabeabigbike owners, they ONLY have the universals for the EN500.

I've had both styles--the original ISO grips and the flame style. Although I like the flame style better as far as looks go, I think the original style was more comfortable for my hands. They're big, though (the original). I think someone with small hands might have a problem with them. They're a lot cushier, though.

I love them both! And they're easy to put on.
