I have a Kaw Bayou in my shop that the customer tried to fix the carb himself. Can anyone tell me what the starting setting is for the air mixture screw?

Lightly bottomed, then back out two and a quarter turns.

Depending on the pilot size, you may need to move anywhere from one and three quarter to three turns out to get it to sound good in the pilot fueling range.

Pretty much an identical tuning issue as the Honda's that use this same carburetor.

Just keep it under 1,800 RPM for the final pilot air adjustment, or the main kicks in and distorts the picture.

Thanks we will give that a try!
