Hello everyone. I just purchased a Kawasaki 1500 Vulcan and I need some help with some accessories, please. I have 3 options for a sissy bar from Cobra; an 11", 14", and a 17". I just don't know which one to get. I plan on getting a touring bag to put on it. Will the 17" be too tall? Will the 14" be tall enough? I would appreciate any advice you may give me. Again, thank you.

I guess it depends on how the height is measured but my Fire & Steel passenger backrest rises 11 inches above the passenger seat pad. I've used it many times to secure a tourpak so, I'd think any of the ones your considering would work. The tourpak I use is from Saddleman and it sits in the passenger seat area. A big velcro strap goes around the sissybar with two smaller straps that hook up to the luggage rack. I could email a couple pictures if you'd like. I also have one of the backpack type tourpaks that sits right on the luggage rack that I'll use when riding two up and in need of extra storage.

I would appreciate the pictures, I've looked at Saddleman and T-Bags, both are very well made. Thank you, Steve.

I have the F&S sissy bar and it works well. I use to to secure my T-bag. You can see a picture of my bike by looking at my profile.

Hay Guy,

Welcome to the forum. I see that you've already got some help. I also have a Saddleman T-Bag. It's got lots of room for the Misses and myself.

I think it looks good onthe back of the bike.

This is it up close:
