i have a 1987 kawasaki EX500.
recently i had a ngk spark plug break off in the cylinder head.
needless to say i had to tear the head off to have it repaired.
i payed attention to the timing marks on the two camshafts, but forgot to look at the crank timing mark.
i am new to motorcycles, so i am guessing the cams are stock.
if anyone can give me info on how to set the timing marks back to where they need to be i would appreciate it.
also, is there a way to see if the cams are stock or aftermarket ( high performance or racing ) ?
you can reply to this thread or email me at:

thanks,
jason

For the EX500, nobody makes any sort of aftermarket cam for that that I know of.

Go to EX-500.com an look at the wiki page there to check cam timing marks. it should be under the valve adjustment section( do this while you're in there)
