Hi to the forum members. I use this forum a lot for when my bike breaks...usually on a regular basis.
Anyway...the clutch was sticking on my KX 80 (1998) so I removed the cluch, removed and filed the basket groves down, replaced the clutch and reconnected the cable.

Now I have no tension on the cable, the lever simply sits on the handle bar and does not spring back like it should.

I have taken it all apart about 5 times but keep having the same problem.
Before replacing the clutch cover I pulled the push rod but the didn't seem to be any movement.

Any help would be really appreciated. I have followed the manuel but am stumped. Is it possible I dont have the spring bolts tight enough or maybe the centre nut is not tight enough?

At a complete loss.

Thank you in advance.
Darren
