I'm in North Florida and I mostly see stunters on Gixxers and Yamas, but I rarely see stunters on Ninjas - not to mention Ninjas are pretty rare over here compared to the other 3 domestic makes. Anyone know why? Is it like that in yalls areas?

Gixxers are like ....... Well you know it goes. They are good bikes but everyone has one. I don't stunt to much anymore but here is some pics of me on my old 636 when I was first getting started. In my area gixxers are the most common but I see plenty of Hondas and Kawasaki's around here. http://www.psychogang.com/gallery/album67

That's tight, man. I agree, the new gixxers are pretty bikes but everyone and their mother has one. I chose my 636 cuz it looks nice & mean, not to mention the silver frame and tight color stands out from the rest. i also like the xtra edge of 37ccs from the 599s. i got the same one as you used to (03', lightning blue). I especially liked the sticker on your cawl seat - that's true, pray hard, brotha!
p.s. so there's no particular reason why stunters use Gixxers more than Ninjas, right? I guess gixxers are just more popular to do tricks on...

I take it you went to the photo album. The blue 636 is a friend of mine. Mine was the black. The guy with the blue one was wrecked and I painted the front end and the whole left side.

I stunt on my 9 and your right there are not that many people out there on Kawi's.. I think the main reason is weight... I have a 98 9r and its an ox... The power is definitly there and once I got used to it its cake to do anything on... I got on my boyz 900rr and was like ****, what a difference... Although I would never give up my Kawi the 900rr is the bike to stunt in my opinion... While stunting my bike I have seemed to destroy it so I was thinking of pickin up a 900rr just to stunt cuz my ZX9R rules on the road and I will never switch bikes just to ride and to hit the twisties with...

Thanks for your insight, spyder. Since the older Kawis were heavy, does that mean the older gixxers weren't? I guess I could compare the specs on the older models to find out, but if you already know, holla. I ride an 03' 636 and its hella light (354.9 lbs). I wonder if Kawis just recently started getting light enough to be stunt-worthy and its just a matter of time that we'll see more zixxers out there...?

However, I'm still stumped as to why Kawis are rare in most areas - even just for street riding...I guess that's the million dollar question.
