Was wondering if anyone knows if and what the difference is with the 2015 Versys 650 seat and a 2022 seat. They look the same to me. Maybe the foam is a little different?
I can get my hands on a cheap Corbin seat for a 2015 model. I have a 2022. Maybe i can modify it possibly to fit?

good question,,, Found this for the Kaw leather seat. no idea why it skips years.

ASSEMBLIES WHERE 53003-0112-MA IS USED
And the regular for the 2015 is replaced by
53066-0717-MA
wHich shows to be for a 2022 model... should work.

Note on Corbins for Versys, I have one on my 1000 Versys, bought used, It didn't want to stay latched. I found the latching loop on the seat was installed backwards, It was not a 90 degree mount. turned it around to where the latch loop leaned to the rear and it fits good and stays tight. Just an FYI if the 650 is the same set-up. No idea if the previous owner messed with it or if it came from Corbin that way.

thanks. For what I have been reading and others have been saying it looks like Kawi changed some part numbers in 2017. But I think the seat is basically the same. like you said i might have to mess around with the latch or if I have to i can probably mod it to fit using my original seat parts.
