Hi there,
I am really having a problem to find out how to put just a small amount of coolant in my ZX6R 2004. I just want to top up so the coolant is between the min and max lines. On another forum I was told the following:
"Prop your gas tank up. Underneath the tank, you will see the top of the resevoir where you can top off the coolant."

But I have a question:

I don't have any manuals with my bike, so what do I have to do to prop the tank up? If I unscrew the bolt at the front of tank and then lift? Is this all I have to do? Is there any danger of disconnecting any cables or anything else I should keep in mind? I would assume I need somebody to give me a hand to keep the tank up while I pour the coolant? I am new rider so please excuse me if my questions are very basic!
Please help me out.

We need a ZX6R guy in here. How about one of you guys step in?

I can tell you how it works on my Ninja 250. The radiator is in front of the engine, and the radiator cap is on the right side of the radiator. But the coolant reservoir is hidden behind the left side fairing. To get at it, remove the seat, then remove the left fairing. It's a plain white container with a black cap. Open the cap and add fluid.

I can't believe that you would have to lift the gas tank to add coolant. Can one of you ZX6R guys confirm this?

Quite complicated?

Same here, the coolant container is on the left side of the bike hidden very wel, all you can see are the two lines so you know how much coolant you have. I am waiting for my owners manual, but they are out of stock,. I guess I will just have to ask in a service center.
